As a CEO (Chief Executive Officer), If you aren’t sure which way you would go on this one, maybe you aren’t ready to be a CEO. There’s nothing wrong with that, but better to know in advance and not take risks that you can’t follow through on.
By the way, there was one additional part to the story, that also showed what kind of a CEO really is. Once she decided to go ahead with her plan to raise the money for the company, it didn’t go well. She failed almost every time to get investors on board. But she kept going and going until she finally was able to crack the code and once she did, she raised over 6 millions and was able to race the horse. Ask yourself, how many calls would you be willing to make after you got rejected over and over again, before you gave up.
CEO’s Focus On Making Profit for the Company
It didn’t get any better for the CEO, when he making a lost for the company. Thus, another chance to throw up their hands in defeat. But again, because of their unwavering will to succeed, they pushed forward and very soon he will turn the lost to profit again for the company.
The bottom line here is that adversity and challenges are part of what it takes to be a successful CEO. You also have to dust yourself off and get back on the horse (sorry for the bad pun), no matter what. If you can’t take the challenge, then you should run, not walk away, because you are not meant to be a right candidate.
